Description

Artistic World

This drawing represents the freedom of being an artist - creating your own fantasy/ world . Only the imagination is your limit ( after you have mastered the medium )

I cant tell you enough how good it feels to do what you love and having no one above you telling you what to do - instead you need to be your own critique and look at everything you do with a very strict eye.

I think its important to share and Make the earth a better place with one artwork at the time =)

I used markers for the base , added pencils on top and finished it with acrylic =) This work is also a part of a much large drawing - will share the final work tomorrow ( you will never guess what it is ) =D

Hey, how I can see, it's very old post. But anyway, it reminds me on a wonderful happening in my younger years. I was 16 years old and on the way back home after a painting-course. It was winter. Very cold and stormy evening. I was riding my bike. But it got so cold, that I thought, my hands will fell off. On the canal between our two bridges I just pushed my bike by side and knocked at the door to a fishers little house. They took me inside, just knowing that I'm about to freeze. They cared about me, I had to put my fingers first in a ''normal'' cold water, then in lukewarm water- that was such a pain, that I can still remember.
While drinking a tea, that they gave me, the fisher (he was .. about 50 years old and told me, his wife brings a lot of tea so I had luck to pick my favourite taste xD) was asking me, what I am doing outside. Told him that I'm a young painter, learning more skills from an artist who was known in my town.
After it he told me something, that I will never forget. ''Being an artist is something very important. Artists are made, to make this world more wonderful.''
This experience is something very, very special to me. And I'm thankful for it.
