Mixed media portrait of my Grandfather ( detail )

this time i tried to count the hours and it takes me more 70hours to complete these^^ the first one ( of my father took me almost twice as long )

This one is the fifth one of a series on 6 huge portraits i will do. So one more now.

I did changed my process on this drawing. I started with dry pasetll , just because its easier to block inn the large areas. All the detail was done with color pencisl ( water based ) and highlights are tattoo color.

Do your self a favor and zoom inn

I will take better pic of it when its framed in, until then this will do.

Im very happy with the result.. and yes it looks a lot better in real life . so if anyone would like to come and see it in real life.. you can do that at my tattoo shop ( Notodden / Norway )
