Description
Collection of my work from 2014
Im here to say thank you to everyone!
My life goal has been achieved . As some of you may know ( the people who have been following me from the the early days ) i set my goal at age 26, and well i turned 26 few days ago.
When i was 17 years old i started art school and from a very early age i understood that to achieve greatness you need to sacrifice a lot. And it needs to be build on dedication and repeated failure . I was drawing what i would consider lot for a 17 year old one - but that was far from enough.
And at the age of 19 i started Collage ( art degree ) and gave my self a unrealistic challenge that i was going to do no matter what.
The challenge was to draw, tattoo, airbrush, paint a pic per day no matter what. It was many hard years of work . I tried everything possible and pushed my own bounders far to many times. When my wrist started hurting from to much drawing i used my left hand to draw instead ( i felt like no excuses could stop my path ). When i could not draw because of what ever reason i felt incredibly bad, almost sick because i thought i was missing out. There was no time to be wasted.
Countless hours spend creating , copying ,modifying ,erasing , building and repeating the process over and over again. I was like a sponge, sucking in what ever when ever i could learn about my craft. Taking the ideas of other people and improving them/ changing them and adding my process to them.
So after spamming the internet for years with at least one post per day i have finally achieved my goal.
So my goal was to become a good/ great artist at the age of 26 and to be well know / famous in a way. Well i guess i can say i did it. My facebook fan page got 100 000 followers my instagram page got 135 000 followers. And all of the other pages i use got about 100 000 as well.
I was featured countless times on some of the biggest art pages on the internet . I had interviews with large art magazines. I was on TV and im sponsored by one of the biggest pencil producers in the world. So yeah i guess i did it hehe
To be honest if feels great , it feels like a huge boulder has been removed from my shoulder. So now the question is will i continue this path ?
Im not sure, the last years i was consumed by art that i did not have time to do anything else. Dont get me wrong i love what i do and i dont even know if i could stop.
But i will definitely start on new projects that include creating ( but not necessarily art )
When i set my goal i had the option to choose two paths. The art path ( that i took ) or the music path. I was and still am very interested into music but i felt to get good at something i needed to give up one of the, and at the time i felt like art was a safer way to go. So i quit my band and stopped practicing vocals/ guitar and started investing all of my time in art.
Writing this as a thank you and as a insight to all the kids who dream about being an artist. Its hard and not very rewarding for years. You will not get good over night . You will need to build your foundation first and construct your dream one brick at the time.
Work with understanding and a critical eye. Work with a passion and a goal in mind. And maybe one day if you have worked hard enough you will be here where i stand now.
I still have a lot to learn my self, but at this point i feel that no mountain is hard to climb and no top is unreachable. I got a solid and huge foundation that i can continue building on.
Once again thank you for all of your wonderful support and all the great feedback that i got during all of these years.
Last year i did a huge composition of my work called : Evolution of my art :
You can see how my art evolved during the years ( 8 -25 )
